In the face of marital betrayal, Medea vows revenge against her husband. Her vengeance culminates in the unthinkable act of the murder of her children. I was drawn to the visceral emotions of this story and felt the need to parallel it with the elemental. I expressed that elemental design through an Afrofuturist lens by combining traditional West African forms of architecture with contemporary shapes and concepts. All in all, this rendition of Medea evolved into a fantastical portrayal of West Africa.
